Welcome to the Forum on Respiratory Tract Infections that will take place in Barcelona in November 28-30 2012!

The Forum on Respiratory Tract Infections has been a regular feature of the respiratory meeting landscape since 2000. The meeting is dedicated to infection and its impact on the respiratory system in health and disease. Five Forums have established and expanded the traditions of sequential, plenary discussion sessions led by major opinion leaders and researchers in the field.

The interdisciplinary emphasis of the RTI Forum allows interactive discussion between specialists and features international experts from all related specialities.Sessions concentrate on new information, resultant controversies and their resolution.

The 6th RTI Forum in the series is now proposed in response to important advances and novel issues in the matters of epidemiological, diagnostic and therapeutic events, including significant new agents, both anti-microbial and adjunctive, early recognition of bacterial disease (and rapid pathogen identification) and preventative vaccines. Most of these will be approaching the clinical interface within the next 2-3 years. They urgently merit both objective interdisciplinary evaluation and wider dissemination to leaders in their clinical application.

The RTI Forum offers a unique opportunity to discuss these issue with experts in respiratory Infection inan intimate and informal atmosphere and we hope to welcome you in Barcelona!
